- A $50.00 credit toward enrollment in our popular "Sewing for Beginners" course at our premises. (Must use within 4 months of attending the workshop.)

This 3-hour workshop is perfect for those absolute beginners who want a gentle —and expert— guiding hand or instruction in the basics of sewing.

Get all the knowledge you need to craft your own sewing projects. Then get down to sewing business. We'll support you step by step while you sew your own zip pouch.
This zip pouch is great for carrying small items, such as makeup, pencils, coins or any other accessories. Take it home, enjoy it and be proud of your accomplishment!
Learn in the fun and friendly environment of a small classroom.
Enjoy this hands-on workshop to learn the basic knowledge of sewing and the sewing machine in a small group setting. Only 5 students per classroom!
Learn with fellow sewing enthusiasts the correct terminology, the parts of the sewing machine, threading, sewing stitches, zippers, and many more. You may like to bring a notebook and pen to take notes.

Is this workshop online?
No, this workshop is not online. Sewing 101 Workshop is an in-person 3-hour training that takes place in our classroom on our premises in North Miami:

Should I have some sewing experience to take this course?
No, you don't need any prior experience at all. We will cover the basics so you can develop the right sewing skills from the very begining. Of course, if you do have some experience already, it is fine too, because you will be able to build upon those and perhaps go at a more comfortable pace.
Is a sewing machine required to take the workshop?
No, you don't need to own or to bring a sewing machine to the workshop. Of course, if you do have a sewing machine you're welcome to bring it along if you wish.

Hi, I'm Rutch. I began fashion design very young designing clothes for my Barbie dolls in my native Dominican Republic.
Over the years, I've gotten many fashion awards. I couldn't have achieved those if I hadn't had a formal knowledge in fashion design. So when I moved to Miami, I decided to share my expertise with other budding fashionistas like you.
Today I own The Fashion Institute of South Florida. We're a vocational school that cares about each of our students. We love providing them with keen personal attention. Unlike colleges, we offer targeted “Short Fashion Courses” for those who want to excel in the fashion industry.
